Shalya said, ‘O’ Karna! Don’t be angry. In every country people have sex. Every one has faults. I am just - look, you need to get your mind right to face Partha in battle today.’

Sequence
Shalya takes umbrage when Duryodhana asks him to drive Karna’s chariot today for his fight with Arjuna. Shalya and Karna bicker on the way to the battlefield.
The Pandavas, led by Yudhishthira, direct the following match ups and charge.
“Arjuna created a counter vyuha full of cavalry, elephants, infantry and chariots. On seeing that the samshaptakas arranged in a formation, Arjuna attacked them. The samshaptakas were firm in their resolution to put death before retreat. Those brave ones advanced against Arjuna in large numbers. Arjuna sliced down the heads of thousands of the enemy and brought down chariots, horses, standards, elephants, infantry, squad leaders, arrows, bows, swords, chakras and battle axes. Arjuna was sumberged in that large whirlpool of soliders, like an eddy in the ocean. The samshaptakas were delighted. Arjuna slaughtered the ones in front of him, those that were further away, those to the rear, those to the left and those to the right.

At this Bhima ascended his chariot again. Your sons were afflicted by Bhima and tried to drag Bhimasena away, like ants pulling and unwilling elephant. Bhimasena used a ksharapa arrow to sever Durmarshana’s head and it fell to the ground. With another broad-head, Bhima killed Shrutanta. He brought Jayatsena down with an iron arrow. Jayatsena fell from his seat on the chariot to the ground. Bhima next killed Jaitra, Bhuribala and Ravi just as swiftly.
