The other frame - representing significant battles includes a few pieces on important battles from the American plains wars. These are created similarly to the Mahabharata battles - I study the maps and descriptions of motions and animate the sequences.
The battles under review here center on the high point of Sioux and Cheyenne resistance. These are Crook’s defeat at the battle of Rosebud - a battle with many movements, charges and actions. A second is Major Reno’s indecisive retreat at the battle of Little Bighorn - Custer’s last stand. The hayfield and box wagon fights. And the Fetterman battle, which to call it a massacre (as is popularly done) does a disservice to the gallant men who gave their lives in battle.
